Burmese military junta engaging in cyber warfare

This week marks the one year anniversary of the Saffron Revolution in Burma. The monk-led uprising saw hundreds of thousands take to the streets demanding social, economic and political change. The ruling military junta forcibly quashed that rebellion and last week launched an attack of its own on overseas based dissident Burmese news websites. The Irrawaddy, New Era Journal and the Democratic Voice of Burma were crippled by cyber attacks rendering their online portals inaccessible.
