Over 1000 people attended a candlelit vigil to celebrate the life of murdered French student, Sophie Collombet. Now thoughts turn to public safety in Brisbane and what can be done to prevent future tragedies.

Sophie Collombet was a French international student studying in Brisbane. She was 21 years old.Her body was found in the city’s popular South Bank area and a man has been charged with murder, deprivation of liberty, rape and armed robbery. It’s the 4th case like it in nearly six months.
