British Prime Minister Theresa May announced her deferment of the presentation of her Brexit agreement to the House of Commons to a chorus of catcalls and derision in the most humiliating display that any British Prime Minister has had to endure in living memory.

Unless the EU can come up with some sort of miracle deal on the Northern Ireland border with Eire, she will be unable to command a majority to pass a Brexit bill, and without the confidence of the House, the Conservatives will have to come up with a new leader.

Across the channel, President Macron was enduring even more impassioned opposition as street protests against his policies forced him to address the nation.
