The UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food, Jean Ziegler has called the growing use of crops for Bio-fuels ‘a crime against humanity’ because he says the growth in the production of Bio-fuels has helped to push the price of some crops to record levels. But Australian experts say that is not exactly the case and the potential benefits of bio-fuels are huge.
