A National Approach to river system management is needed according to UNSW academic and water expert Professor Richard Kingsford who was speaking at a biodiversity conference at the University of NSW yesterday, where academics were turning the “think global act local” paradigm on its head. Australian and International scientists and academics at the conference say applying large scale conservation across local state and national borders is essential to securing and managing biodiversity for future generations.
