Where do the striking and often contentious ideas from our leading political cartoonists come from? To answer this question The Wire’s David Jobling attended the launch of a new exhibition called Behind the Lines: The Year’s Best Cartoons, presented by the National Museum of Australia. Now in it’s eighth year the exhibition features the most outstanding works of a broad range of Australian cartoonists. David asked the Green Left Weekly’s contributing cartoonist Chris Kelly what makes a good cartoon?
