Joanne McDonnell is like any other mum with four kids, and has had her share of late nights with crying babies…but it was during one of these nights that she saw a report on the crisis in Darfur, Sudan, and decided she just had to do something. Joanna is a successful songwriter, making her mark with songs for Australian Group Bachelor Girl. But her new song ‘Beautiful Mother’ is written just for Darfur mothers and all profits are going to Oxfam to assist in the war there. She told the wire what sparked her to take action.
