In 1975, five Australian journalists were killed by Indonesian forces to cover up their invasion of East Timor. These journalists are now referred to as the “Balibo Five.” The recent film Balibo, based on a book by Jill Jolliffe has rekindled interest in the story and the Australian Federal Police announced yesterday that they have launched a new investigation. But what will this do for Australian-Indonesian relations?
