Many Australians are proactive about taking care of their physical health but new research suggests we aren’t nearly as proactive when it comes to our mental health.
Research published today has found Australians are waiting 12 years on average before reaching out for help with their mental health.
Researchers hope to use this research to advocate for mental health early intervention and prevention, and to increase community awareness about mental health and drug and alcohol disorders.
