Unlike the US and Europe, Australians have been able to illegally download movies safe in the knowledge that their internet provider would protect their privacy. After a court decision yesterday that protection is less safe, though the court is taking precautions to make sure copyright owners aren’t able to use the practice of ‘speculative invoicing’ in this country.
