Australia will resettle refugees to New Zealand under a new deal

Australia has accepted an offer to resettle 150 refugees per year in New Zealand, for 3 years.

The deal was originally made 9 years ago when Julia Gillard was Prime Minister, but was delayed by subsequent governments.

While it is some good news for some organisations, human rights advocates say this is not enough.
