Australia Says No To Nuclear-Free Zones

The Australian Government has refused to attend a conference in Mexico designed to strengthen nuclear-free zones. The conference is to be held at the United Nations in New York as a lead up to a five-year review of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. The Medical Association for Prevention of War Australia is alarmed at the Government’s refusal to attend. The Association’s President, Doctor Sue Wareham, spoke with The Wire’s Samantha Regione.
