As the financial world melts down, the environment is being expected to take a back seat, as struggling businesses argue they can’t be expected to cut carbon emissions and survive. But a report released today warns that Australia is way up there with the world’s top polluters and we’re getting worse. The Worldwide fund for nature’s Living Planet report shows that Australians have the fifth largest environmental footprint and it’s grown in the last two years.
