Australia blocks OECD deal on cutting coal subsidies

Finance ministers from OECD countries are gathered in Paris ahead of climate talks starting on the 30th of November. They are there to discuss an informal US-Japanese agreement to limit overseas funding for coal plants in developing countries where renewable alternatives exist. This deal requires the consensus of all 34 member nations to pass, but both Australia and South Korea are opposed to the plan as it stands.
