Labor and The Greens have today claimed the scalp of Assistant Treasurer Arthur Sinodinos, who stepped aside today, after it emerged the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption is investigating his role as a board member of Australian Water Holdings.

The move comes as Sinodinos was pushing the government’s case for the Future of Financial Advice Package, which has been criticised by the Financial Planning Association for restoring commissions paid for financial advice.
