For almost 5 years Gunn’s’ proposed pulp mill in northern Tasmania has received wide opposition from the community and environment groups. This week the company have withdrawn plans to build a veneer mill near Launceston in response to community opposition. The wilderness society is obviously overjoyed by this decision and the Wires Renee Sizer talks to campaign manager Vicar Bailey about what this new development will mean for the campaign in Tamar valley.
