The Fleurieu Milk and Yogurt Company has come under fire after bowing to an aggressive social media campaign pressuring it to drop its halal certification. The South Australian company has dropped the certification and sacrificed a $50,000 deal to supply Emirates Airlines. While Fleurieu says that the negative reaction was simply too damaging for their business to ignore, others argue that companies have a responsibility to uphold social values.
