An Iraqi man has died while being held at Villawood Detention Centre. The 41 year old was found hanging in a bathroom after his claims for asylum had been rejected twice. The incident has again put the spotlight on Australia’s mandatory detention policy and the Greens and refugee action groups are calling for the system to be abolished.
