Reknowned Australian feminist (and former adviser to Paul Keating), Anne Summers, recently published her new book: “The End of Equality: Work, Babies and Women’s Choices in 21st Century Australia”. Summers argues that 20 years ago, Australia had an approach to women’s policy that was admired around the world, but more recently, women’s equality has slipped off the agenda, with Australian women still battling for equal pay, and equitable policies for childcare and maternity leave.
