Figures released in 2013 show Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are 10 times more likely to be placed in foster care than their non-Indigenous counterparts. Monday August 4 is National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day, so we’re looking into what it’s like to be a foster parent for an Indigenous child.
