Australia’s death toll from air pollution is higher than it’s road toll. That’s according to CSIRO’s Atmospheric Research division who have met this week with air quality scientists, medical researchers and government representatives in Melbourne to look at the ways in which air pollution emissions can be reduced. Jeanti St Clair spoke to Dr Tom Beer from CSIRO Atmospheric Research, and Richard Denniss of the Australia Institute.
