Adolescents with gender identity issues need more equity

Imagine waking up in someone else’s body. Someone of the opposite sex. For some kids, every day feels like that. Gender identity disorder is when people have a persistent identification with the gender of the opposite sex. New research published in the Medical Journal of Australia says that most kids with gender identity issues suffer from anxiety or depression. The report calls for specialist units to be established to help these kids and to break down the stigma of gender identity.
