The planned Charmichael coal mine won’t be going ahead immediately with the final decision to commit to funding the project postponed by the Adani Group.

While it’s thought the delay will only be a temporary set back for the mine’s production – as the Queensland state government organises a royalties repayment scheme – various groups are calling on the Queensland government to abandon the project all together.
