The issue of reproductive rights has resurfaced this International Women’s Day in the form of proposed legislation from the Tasmanian Health Minister. Michelle O’Byrne has proposed legislation, modelled on the Victorian laws, that effectively decriminalises abortion.
Tasmania’s Health Minister, Michelle O’Byrne, today announced legislation that will decriminalise abortion.The changes to the act have been long-sought after by womens’ and youth health organisations.
