A group of Aboriginal elders and youth leaders are taking Channel 7’s breakfast program ‘Sunrise’ to the Federal High Court because of racist comments against their community.

The comments from the panel suggested child removals during the stolen generations were in the best interests of the children. In addition, no Indigenous voices were invited to discuss the topic.

The group also wants Seven Media to be accountable for their actions, and wants the media to be continuously trained on Aboriginal history.
