Nyikina Nyul Nyul Worora man Jason Hunter, is stepping up for Indigenous representation in Federal politics, contesting for the Durack Electorate in Western Australia, the largest electorate in the country.

He’s supporting the Indigenous Aboriginal Party of Australia (IAPA), founded by Barkindji people in Wilcannia, who fought to protect the Baaka/Darling River.

Mr Hunter is concerned that both  major party have not delivered solutions for Indigenous communities, especially after the failed Voice referendum.

He’s campaigning for greater protection for sacred land and water, improved education, justice reform, and more support for Indigenous-owned businesses.
