The problem of homelessness in Australia has been around for a long time and statistics show that it is getting worse, not better. Australian Human Rights Commission President Cathy Branson QC says that new approaches are needed to fight an old homelessness problem. These have been outlined in the Commission’s submission to the House of Representatives Standing Committee inquiry into homelessness legislation.
