Rosanne Haggerty is in Australia to share her ideas on solutions on homelessness. She is Thinker in residence with the South Australian government . Her non profit organisation Common Ground restores dilapidated buildings with government and corporate financial help and sets them up as low cost centres providing housing for the homeless and cheap rent for other groups. She says the projects have been almost too successful in America where they have restored vitality to run down areas and given the homeless a community of their own.
