Continuing our series of reports on Australia’s smaller political parties, this week we look at the Australian HEMP Party. The push for marijuana legalization and decriminalization has started to snowball as two more American states join a number of other areas around the world where the possession and use of Marijuana is legal.
The Australian HEMP Party has the same goal for Australia – the complete legalization of Marijuana for medical, recreational and industrial uses. But for this election the HEMP Party has decided to focus specifically on Medicinal Marijuana.The HEMP Party claims that Marijuana provides some benefits that traditional pharmaceuticals do not, and sometimes with less negative side effects. But does the research support the legalization of Medicinal Marijuana for Australia?
