The federal Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, Tony Burke, introduced The Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Protecting Worker Entitlements) Bill in Parliament today.
Part of the bill clarifies that migrant workers are entitled to the same workplace protections as other Australians under the Fair Work Act 2009, this will help ensure workplace abuse does not esculate into modern slavery.
