Last year Crinkling News is Australia’s only national newspaper for young people.

The newspaper is targeted at children aged 7 to 14 and is sent out weekly to schools and individual readers across the country.

Now a year on, Crinkling News is fighting for survival and running a crowdfunding campaign to raise the vital funds needed to push them toward sustainability.

Today the editor and co-founder of Crinkling News Saffron Howden, along with two of the newspapers junior reporters, gave evidence to the first public hearing of the Select Committee on the Future of Public Interest Journalism.
