Organisations welcome new Aged Care Act, some challenges not addressed

The new Aged Care Act came into effect at the beginning of November, and community organisations welcome the new bill protecting older Australians. 

The Council On the Ageing, or COTA, says this is a positive step towards the needs of ageing Australians. 

The Act includes more protections to speak up about concerns without reprisal, and gives this sector better control over their care, lifestyle, and decisions.
