Alcohol companies spend billions of dollars a year on advertising, much of it directed at young people and they’re using new media to do it. Social media is being used as a modern platform for alcohol companies to engage Australia's youth in drinking culture, before they reach the legal age to do so.
Today the Australian Medical Association held a summit to look at how messages about alcohol are getting to young people and what can be done about it.
