You’ve just come out of prison, where you’ve done your time and are now ready to face the world. But there’s no support or anywhere for you to go. This is the reality for women in New South Wales where homelessness is a becoming a problem for female ex-prisoners. Today the Women in Prison Advocacy Network (WIPAN) launched a report urging the New South Wales Government to help.
WIPAN addresses the many issues facing criminalised women both systemically, by advocating to improve the criminal justice systems and individually, by mentoring women ex-prisoners. Image courtesy of Bigpond News.
