Story audio

The Newman government has announced over 10,000 redundancies to reduce the State’s $4.6 billion deficit in their first Queensland budget this afternoon. The worst hit was Queensland Health which will see more than 4,000 jobs cuts. The Queensland government has also increased royalties and taxes despite pressure from the Federal government.
