Inaudible train announcements just one of many accessibility issues
Monday, 27 August 2012

RailCorp acknowledges that muffled and incomprehensible announcements are a problem commuters regularly face on Sydney trains. So today Minister for Transport Gladys Berejiklian announced that rail staff will attend radio school to work to improve their voice, enunciation, and microphone techniques. But the failure to make audible announcements at stations or announcements at all, is only one of the barriers that makes public transport unusable for people with disabilities.
