An SA construction worker faces court today, with the CFMEU rallying in support. He was taken to court by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions, after the matter was referred on by the Australian Building and Construction Commissioner. Ark Tribe risks 6 months jail time under laws still to be repealed under Howard's IR reforms. The ABCC says the compliance powers, which Mr Tribe is being charged under, are used as a last resort. How many Australians actually recycle? The Greens say not enough to have the greatest possible benefit for the environment. The party is pushing for a National Recycling Scheme, which they claim will cut greenhouse gas emissions, save water and create jobs. On November 5 Senator Scott Ludlam will deliver voters messages on the issue to the Federal Environment Minister in a recycled plastic bottle. The Federal Government has re-launched The Right Mix campaign to help veterans self-manage their alcohol consumption by calculating their drinking levels.
