The Western Australia government is introducing legislation to roll back reforms to the state's marijuana laws. Meanwhile, an ex-police officer from the United States is on a speaking tour of Australia advocating for total drug legalisation. Interview with Dr Norm Stamper who says legalisation is the solution to drug dependency; and creating safer, healthier communities.

Making an appointment with the Prime Minister is never going to be an easy task for your average joe. But an Indigenous Australian named David Dryden has been trying to do just that for over a year now. Mr Dryden is from Yorta Yorta and is concerned about the health and wellbeing of Indigenous Victorians in his community. He feels that there's too much focus on the Northern Territory which is at the expense of other Indigenous communities. Mr Dryden has ideas about overcoming problems that face his community and would like to have a conversation with the PM about them. He is tired of being blown off by Kevin Rudd's office so, next week he will stand outside parliament house calling for the Prime Minister to come outside. Interview with David Dryden

An estimated 350,000 Australians are set to take part this weekend in the world's largest anti-poverty event, Stand Up. With climate change threatening the livelihoods of millions of people, combating poverty is now more pertinent than ever. One of 60 aid agencies in Australia's Make Poverty History coalition, is Stand Up. The major Stand Up event will be held at Melbourne's Federation Square on Saturday 17th October.
